The only personal information we store is what you provide within your resume, such as your name, email address, and phone number. This data is only collected when you explicitly opt in to save your resumes on our website for easy access.

If you use our free tool without creating an account, no personal information is stored after your session ends.

The personal information you provide, including your resume content, is used exclusively for the purpose of optimizing your resume. Specifically, we use your data to:

• Analyze your resume against job descriptions to generate an ATS match score
• Suggest targeted improvements to increase your match score
• Save and retrieve your resume if you choose to create an account
• Apply selected templates and formatting preferences

We do not use your resume content for any purpose outside of providing the service you requested.

No storage of personal data by default. We do not store your personal information unless you explicitly choose to save your optimized resume. Your data is processed in real-time and is not retained after your session ends unless you decide to save it.

We prioritize the security of your information and implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Your personal information and resume content will never be shared or distributed to any third parties without your explicit consent. This includes:

• Employers or recruiters

We use cookies solely to maintain your session and preferences while using Resume Optimizer Pro. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the service may not function properly without cookies enabled.

The Resume Optimizer Pro browser extension for Chrome enables one-click resume optimization from supported job boards. This section describes how the extension handles your data.

Where it runs. The extension only reads pages on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, and Dice, and only on job detail paths (for example, job listings, job search detail panels). It does not access any other website.

What is collected.

• Resume text. When you upload a resume through the extension popup, the file is sent to our API for text extraction. The extracted text is stored in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). The original file is not retained on our servers after extraction.
• Job description text. When you run a match or optimize action, the extension extracts the job title, company name, and job description from the current page and sends them to our API for processing.
• Page URL and host. The extension reads the URL of the active tab to determine whether the current page is a supported job listing (for example, a LinkedIn or Indeed job detail page). URLs are evaluated locally in the extension and are not stored or transmitted to our servers.
• Account details. Your email address and display name, loaded from your Resume Optimizer Pro account after sign-in.
• Authentication tokens. Access and refresh tokens issued to the extension after sign-in, stored in your browser (chrome.storage.sync).
• Usage events. When you run a match or optimization, the extension reports the action to our API so we can deduct the appropriate credit from your account and enforce free trial limits. These events record the action type and timestamp only, not the content of your resume or the job description.

How it is used. Resume text and job description text are sent to our API at resumeoptimizerpro.com/api solely to produce the match score or optimized resume you requested. The data is processed in memory and is not retained beyond 24 hours of the request. Your resume and job description content is never used to train AI models.

Subprocessors. Match scoring and resume optimization are powered by OpenAI. Resume text and job description text are transmitted to OpenAI solely to generate the requested output, under API terms that prohibit training on submitted data. No other third parties receive this content.

Revoking access. Signing out from the extension clears all tokens from your browser and revokes the refresh token on our server. Uninstalling the extension removes all data it stored locally, including your uploaded resume text.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.

Your continued use of Resume Optimizer Pro after changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
