Do I need an existing resume?
No. That is the point of the builder. If you do already have one, upload it to the ATS resume checker instead, which reaches the same editor in a single step rather than a five step interview.
Will a resume built by AI get flagged?
Applicant tracking systems do not run AI detection. They rank a resume on how well its skills and experience match the job description. Public AI detectors are unreliable and routinely flag entirely human resumes, because resume text is short and formulaic by nature. What decides the outcome is whether the right skills appear in the right sections.
What file do I get at the end?
An editable Word document. You can keep working on it in Word, Google Docs or our own editor, and export it again whenever you change it.
